The purgecontrol project is a simple extension for Thunderbird.

I, being a little not focused, sometimes erase important email using Shift-Del keyboard shortcut. I needed to prevent this situation, so i created this extension.

Using purgecontrol you can easily change behaviour of a Shift-Del - disable it, make it behave as a regular delete or even ask confirmation before purging messages. Take a look at screenshot to see all the possibilities.

• Compatible with Thunderbird 2.0!!!

Currently i have no other plans for this project, unless users will suggest new features (or bugs), which i'll be happy to implement/fix (or at least try to).

Checked with TB 0.7.3, 8.0, 1.0, 1.5.0.7. There is also a forum thread i opened on MozillaZine forums before registering to mozdev
